Becoming and Remembering: Two Sacred Truths of the Journey
Aug 21, 2025
Lately, I’ve been sitting with two words that shape so much of our human experience: becoming and remembering.
One points us toward who we are evolving into. The other calls us back to the truth that has always lived inside us.
For years, much of my work and my own healing journey has been about becoming — becoming stronger after loss, becoming a leader, becoming a founder, becoming a voice for women and the planet. Becoming holds vision. It’s about stretching into possibility, creating something new, daring to see yourself in ways you might not have imagined before.
But there’s also the sacred act of remembering. Remembering that you are already whole. Remembering the wisdom of your body, your breath, your ancestors. Remembering that the earth holds you, always. Remembering that you are sacred, even when the world forgets to tell you so.
At She Ventures, I’ve come to see that we need both. The path is not linear but cyclical — we rise into who we are becoming, and we root into what we are remembering. The summit calls us upward, but the mountain also whispers what we’ve always known deep inside.
When we forget this balance, growth can become a race. But when we honor both becoming and remembering, we find our own rhythm. We live with more integrity, more authenticity, more joy.
What if our greatest adventure isn’t choosing between the two, but embracing both? To remember we are sacred and whole, to provide a solid foundation as we become more fully ourselves.
